LGBTQ+ parents in Ireland demand that their children are given the same rights as others in the country and allowed to have both of their parents legally recognised as such. We are tired of waiting for flawed legislation to be fixed, amended, and tinkered with, only for the finished product to cover just a fraction of our community. A group of us have come together to form Equality for Children, an organisation which aims to ensure that all children of LGBTQ+ parents can have a birth certificate with their parents named on it, no matter how they were conceived or the gender of their parents.
